Cassie Holland

Veterinary Nurse

My name is Cassie! Straight out of high school, I jumped into human medicine and hoped to become an RN, but while on my journey, I found a deep-rooted passion in veterinary medicine and decided to merge my two callings – medicine and animals!

From a young age, I’ve always been a passionate animal enthusiast, and “science nerd”, and helping those in need is the most rewarding part of my life. Now, I am a proud (human) boy mom, dog mom, cat mom, and reptile mom. I was raised by the beach in Dennis and am currently settled in Mashpee with my menagerie of pets of all species!

I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing team here at Oceanside. You can find me assisting in the Operating Room, using Fear-Free care techniques on our nervous patients, or snuggling a puppy, and when I’m off the clock, you’ll find me at the beach! Thank you for trusting me with your beloved fur babies.

Barry

Barry joined our Oceanside family in January of 2023 after first being a patient! Following successful treatment for a foot infection, Petsmart of Plymouth kindly gifted him to Dr. Esmond and the staff of Oceanside as a thank-you! What Barry lacks in toes on his left foot, he more than makes up for in personality! Barry enjoys meeting new people, but generally considers himself a homebody and is still getting acquainted with the great outdoors (ask to see his dragon wing harness!). He loves cilantro, mealworms, and crickets and is learning to enjoy his daily warm baths. Please say hi to him next time you visit us!
